February 2011 Ok...Ok...Ok... Its been awhile. One thing that I've learned from this Daddy Business is that it sure does take more time to do everything that I used to do. Don't get me wrong....Aubrie is absolutely wonderful, but boy she can be a handful! For those of you who haven't been able to see my little Gift From God, Here is a picture. In February, The Singing Echoes had several good things happen and some that might be labeled as bad. Dad underwent some minor surgery that will have him off his feet for a couple of weeks. The doctors have said no traveling for 4-6 weeks. He is chomping at the bit to get back in the action. Rest assured, he is doing great and the recovery process is going well. He, as well as the group, desire your prayers. This is just something that takes time to heal, and getting back to normal takes a conscious effort not to reinjure the healing process. Thank you for your concern. With any luck... He will be back to shouting "Shame On The Devil" at a church near you real soon. Having said that....that was the bad news. The good news is that The group has not had to miss a date. I know, I know, I know.... I'm not a suitable substitute. But I have tried my hardest to make sure our fans are not as disappointed as they actually could be. We have all missed him, but it will not be long till we are back together again. It kinda' reminds me of the parting that we endure here on earth. We have to deal with it for a little while, but sooner or later, the Blood Bought Saints of God will meet again! Can you imagine what it will be like to see those that have gone on before us? I can't wait to see Pat Ingles again. I can't wait to see my grandparents again. I can't wait to see Lake Kimsey again. I can't wait to see Aurthur McCulanon again. I can't wait to see Mary Crowe again. So many have gone on, but I am looking forward to seeing them again. One day I will!
Below is a picture from a church that we have grown to love. Last year, they presented us with a washtub full of goodies to go on the bus. We put the washtub in the museum. Josh ate all the goodies. This year, some of the ladies of the church got together and sewed a bag of taters together, stuffing it full of soup, gum, chips, crackers, and all kinds of goodies to eat on the road. There was more than would fit in the bag....and we have all been munching on all of it. By the way, Jonah will not eat any of the jelly beans! I love the bottom of the bag.... it says "The Lord is My Shepherd....I Shall Not Want!" We have definitely been taken good care of by our dear friends at Amory, Mississippi. Earl and his wife have been a special blessing to us, along with everyone that helped with the meal as well.
